A Better Way To Look

Love, Molly

Through my eyes...

When I was in Middle School, I volunteered at a retirement home and played games with the residents. It was amazing to see their faces light up when I walked into the room. I loved hearing their stories and it helped me to deal with the fact that my own grandparents lived far away. The best way to get outside of yourself and see the "big picture" is to do community service. Find something that you are genuinely interested in and let yourself be passionate.

Molly's Tips:

Always wear good shoes. Trees don't neglect their roots and neither should you!

Want to be an expert communicator? Make sure to always use eye contact - no matter who you are talking to, and people will know you are engaged, interested and confident!

They don't say breakfast is the most important meal of the day for nothing! Even if you aren't a morning person, it is important to eat breakfast. Eating early in the morning wakes up your metabolism and gives you energy for the day - plus it's delicious! Try this easy breakfast burrito:

  1. Scramble one to two eggs
  2. Sprinkle with some shredded cheese
  3. Wrap in a low-fat tortilla, and
  4. You are good to go!

Don't dwell!

Girls gain an average of 40 pounds during puberty. Sounds crazy, right? Well, it isn't! In fact, it is perfectly healthy and normal. Girls go through these changes at different times, so try not to compare yourself. If you'd rather run down the street naked than stand on a scale, remember that you are not a number! (This applies to clothes sizes too!)
